i need a break
so tempted to just fly out of singapore to another country and continue living my life there, escaping from all the stress and worry. live a carefree life.
singaporean students have it the worst among most countries. we spend at least 8 hours of a day in school, not to mention another 3 hours for co curricular activities. come home late and still expected to do well in tests, complete all homework effortlessly.
september holidays? you mean a week of september where you still go to school every day? piled with homework?
its exhausting having to put up with everything...and next year won't be any better. i know some people may disagree but this is my opinion. singapore is a beautiful place but being a student here isn't really that attractive to me.
everyone fighting for a place in the top classes, top schools. competition everywhere. even among friends, people caught up in jealousy and hate. sometimes its hard knowing who you can trust. while i bend down to help untie the ropes that bound a person's feet, who knows if he has a gun already pointed to my skull?
yes it can be fun around true friends, but the fun is limited. freedom is so heavily treasured in this busy city.
fly me away where the sea breeze pasts my face, where the smell of flowers surrounds the air, where there is only nature and peace, fly me away
