Quality time

After I finally ended my IAG camps, it was time to meet Kaipie. Cannot postpone the day to meet anymore cause she was waiting for me loyally for 10 days to end camp to go out. Love ya

I finally brought Kai to Concetto which is this eating place (restaurant-ish) at Cathay. I like that place a lot cause the food is really good + it's really affordable. Poor Kai wanted risotto but they were out, so she ate some duck thing. I ate the prawn aglio olio which I also ate the previous time I went there! so good

Then we went to watch the much awaited Hunger Games movie Mockingjay Part2! I still feel abit confused after, maybe cause I have yet to read finish the book series. And I forgot what happened in part 1. Hahaha anyway I still enjoyed the movie and Jennifer Lawrence did a good job as usual

Oh and we tried Milk Cow! I liked it a lot

Coaches decided to have a mini gathering to watch a movie. So we watched Frankenstein @ tamp. As usual I went to the movie not really knowing what it was about, except that Daniel Radcliffe was acting in it. In the end I thought the movie was good and the plot was very refreshing ~

After the movie we decided to go to Brandon's condo to just sit and chill. Hahaha we ended up talking a lot of shit about school life. Oh and that day I tried the ovaltine drink from koi for the first time. And I actually really liked it!

Soon almost everybody had to go home. Aykin still wanted to watch Spectre which I avoided initially cause I thought it was boring from the first time I watched it, but in the end I end I just tagged along. With Cavan hahaha. Turns out the movie was actually not bad cause the first time I watched it I feel asleep during some interesting parts haha oops Beth is guilty I'm sorry

Before that we went to Cavan's house to eat and it was the first time I met CASPER (..the friendly ghost). The movie ended around 12+ and much thanks to Papa Loo for sending me home

Okay sidetrack abit but I have watched a lot of the movies in the cinemas but my fav movie so far is still Our Times!!!!!! It's such a good movie. And yes I cried, it was too sad and touching. And for those for who me well know that I hardly cry in movies so this says a lot. Love listening to the song 小幸运 too hehe

Okay next day it was another day out with ABCD. Lmao such gang.
We went to Cavan's house in the morning bc Cavan and Darius were (jamming??) playing music soooo me and Aiken being extra just joined to make the whole house a better place with our presence

We then went to bowl at SSC. And from that day onwards I have seen the Loo family are bowling gods lmao
I am not ashamed to say I had the lowest score most of the time haha except this once which I was very proud of myself!  I'm 88 LOL

Then the D had to leave bc some buffet so the rest of us had dinner together again and AGAIN much thanks to Papa Loo and Mama Loo for sending me home + dinner. Side note I wanna say how SSC has such huuuugggeeeee portions for their meals.

Then after listening through all the planning for their chalet, the day has finally come!! Haha much thanks for making me the special surprise guest that could come for all the days

Initially I was very hesitant and didn't wanna go because I would be the only stranger there but in the end I was able to get along with most of the peeps there easily!
So in the morning we went to tamp to buy all the supplies.
First day was pretty chill just hanging around and having a bbq! And the first night was.....very very interesting.
Hahaha

The second day was when more people came. Before everyone came we went to bowl AGAIN.

In the later part of the day I got to meet more people and we all played games and stuff. All a really interesting bunch and Im so glad AK people could come as well!!

I don't have much to say about the 3 days but it was very fun, thanks for inviting me guys!

I don't have many pics to include in this post cause most of the times are recorded in compiled snapchat videos that I have trouble uploading here, but let the pictures speak for themselves :)

Till next time

Best IAG Season ~

Helluuu!
Well It has been a long time since I last coached. Okay well to AK ppl skipping only one season isn't a long time but to me it is. Returning to AK to me means getting together with my best of friends again and coaching. I feel that I am truly myself whenever I am coaching or with my AK friends. I am always laughing and even though I may still have drastic mood swings but most of the time I'm a happy person

This season has been highly awaited by me. And I'm so happy to say that this has been the best season I've coached so far. The best coaching teams, the best batch of participants. My favourite coaches and trainers. My most cooperative junior and senior groups.

Here is the camp photo for junior camp! 23rd -27th November 2015

What my junior kids drew when the trainer told them to draw an animal to represent their coach. Which is me. Which is cute doge.

Hahaha I found it so cute and funny.

Just to remember, my junior kids names are Alex, Hannah, Monishar, Nigel, Terence, Nicholas, and Rena!!!! They are all so cute and friendly with one another, which I am very thankful for. Other special kids I wanna mention are Bing Heng and Vera!!!! Bing Heng is soooooooo cute I kept spazzing over his cuteness since Day1 hehe. Vera is a super cute kid and even though she's not from my group she is in a way quite close to me! Surprisingly these 2 kids are both from Raegan's group HAHAHA

Aykin Gary and Cavan !!! Profilling is always what I dread most in the camp.

And here are the kids from my senior group!!!!!

Shannen, Shuang Ching, Ray, Ben, Ryan, Ru Xue and Sean!!!!!
These bunch of kids... sigh. I've really formed a close bond with all of them since the start of the camp and I treat all of them like my younger siblings. They are a bunch of mature yet qwerky kids that have stupid punny jokes to share with me. They encourage each other and work as team without my prompting. During ttp, my emotions really flowed like a river and Ive never cried for much in a ttp like in this camp for my dear group.

Im so thankful for them opening up to me and I feel so blessed to have them in my care.
I felt like all of them have improved tremendously since Day1 in one way or another.

Other nice things my kids have done for me include saving me a meal and drinks on the last day :') And they always worry about me having enough or anything to eat.

I appreciate all these small actions so much.

KIT of each other on Day2. And they even included my name :')

Im so proud of Shannen and Shuang Ching for going onstage and thanking me in front of everyone...I was really dumbfounded with shock and joy and idk I was so touched and filled with emotion
Raegan asked me why I stood up for so long (like a friendly joke). Thats because I want to receive those words of thanks as openly as possible from where I was at. So that is why I stood up alone looking like an idiot while everyone was sitting but I didn't care cause my participants are up on stage thanking me and I am so damn proud of that.
Ru Xue and Ryan thanks for having the thought of going up as well :')

Me and my kids together with a letter they wrote for me. I was so touched and was screaming lmao I love it so much

Not to forget the amazing coaching team. Thanks to the PD Ben Koh and APD Darius (happy now) for this amazing camp. I already knew this camp would be awesome haha + with those PDs that name their whatsapp group "Best Camp Yet" haha. But on a more serious note I am thankful for them for dealing with a lot of shit for coaches etc.

This camp was also really unique with the rara which was amped up 10000 times with EDM and lightsticks and expanded to using the whole dark room. Chuanlay also kept messing with the lights but it was so fun

Big thanks to PDs for treating 8 pizzas!!!! Went back to office on the last day, it was so fun. Even trainers Melvin and Andrea joined and they said they rarely join coaches debrief on last days, because they enjoyed our camp a lot so they stayed as well. ^^ Stayed till 3am with these peeps to finish up carwash.

Senior camp was my best camp Ive ever coached so far. Love everyone inside, coaches and participants.

Senior camp 28th November - 2nd December 2015

Special mention to Larlene because this would be her last camp..Sigh. Larlene means a lot to me, more like an older sis. We came in in the same season and we have really grown in terms of coaching skill together. She's always there for me and I always feel comforted in her presence. I remember in coach training she picked me first haha out of all the other coaches. Will miss you a lot Larlene :(

Cant wait for coaches gathering!!!! Thanks to everyone who made this season the best for me ^-^

POP'15

Hi!! So many things have happened since my last blogpost
Butttt i will update things slowly bit by bit :)

SO after prom band finally had our POP. Which stands for pass out party for those who don't know. Which is also mainly for the farewell of Sec 4s.

Before the actual POP, the three seniors of flute section decided to meet to buy our beloved juniors some weird pressies. Three seniors aka Hongran, yongxin and I hehe

It was such a fun day out and we only decided to meet up like 1hr before in the morning LOL. But times together with these two will never be boring. They are one of the main reasons why I could press on the long hours of band

Basically we bought jam for our juniors LMAO it was so damn random. But i guess its a good representation of the three crazy seniors our section is blessed with HAHAH. We bought charms for our whole section too. Then we just sat down to write cards for the whole section.

In the middle of our card writing this magician came up to us to do a magic trick. He asked us to choose a card and then mixed it up. Then he asked yongxin to hold the cards (all fanned out) facing in the same direction, and then used my phone to take a picture. After that he told us to look at the picture he took and said that in the picture, all the cards will be facing out except the card we chose. TRUE ENOUGH it happened. We three were like spazzing in shock HAHA. I don't think I did a good explanation of the trick but whatever hahahah it was a good one!!!

Came the day of the actual POP. Nicole made this rise krispies snack thing which was super good omg i ate like 3. They also brought brownies and more food and cards. I love my juniors. Flute section always has the most fun POP stuff hehe

Cassia!!!

Not to forget our flute traditions of popping "champagne" bottles. But obv not real alcohol lmao its sparkling juice HAHA close enough.

This photo below means a lot to me, it has a lot of sentimental value. Because it shows the flute section I was the closest to and now we have all finally graduated...
2013 Sherilyn and Eunice
2014 Meiling
2015 Elizabeth Hongran Yongxin :')

As you can see there are other corks from even more years ago, which represents the more senior seniors from flute. We kept all these corks in the music box for our section (together with tuners etc) and the current section can always see it during practice :) I would say my section is pretty dope i love them

My bottle!!

The three graduates of 2015~~

Thanks so much to my juniors Nicole, Cassia, Xingyi, Minjae, and Nicole (sec1) for remembering to buy the bottles and making super nice treats and cards. And most importantly being there for me in band.

For those who are close to me, they would know I actually detest band a lot. Most of the times I would go to the extent and say hate. Haha.

I chose to opt out of SYF because I wasn't willing to dedicate my time for strenuous practice hours, being scolded by my conductor (most of the time wrongfully), being anxious and panicky throughout those hours. My time in band was not enjoyable mostly because of my conductor, who was always biased against me, quite obviously. I realised this was the case because when a different conductor takes over a practice, I find myself really enjoying band, listening and playing to the music. I don't regret my decision cause I feel like my well being is more important than 5-6 more cca points lol. Even though I had the major part of being Flute 1 (other supporting parts are Flute 2 etc) and kind of left my section 1 person less in the competition, my section mates were still very supportive of my decision and feelings and for that I'm very thankful.

No matter how much I detest band though, the people in my section have really kept my momentum going for these almost 4years. Yongxin and I always laugh at the stupidest shit. Definitely there are some fun times of my band experience too. I've also learnt a lot more about music from joining band and have a wider perspective and greater appreciation for band music.

Other people I want to mention are Wenjin, Woobin, Justin, Shaoyang. These people are have also made my band time faster to pass and also sometimes my pon buddies HAHAA no regrets. Juniors like Yongyee and Xavier too!!

This is I guess what I have to say about my band times and I'm thankful for my section.
I've been waiting to finally graduate from band and I'm glad I've finally made it
